Specializing in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy in Pancreatico-biliary Endoscopy and Endoscopic Ultrasound, Dr. Surapaneni Adds to the Group’s Expansive Endoscopic Services, Holistic Gastroenterology

Houston -  Bay Area Gastroenterology consultants of Houston-Clear Lake welcome Dr. Naveen Surapaneni to the group, now making the center one of the most comprehensive gastroenterology and endoscopy centers in the area.

Dr. Surapaneni, renowned for his work in advanced endoscopic techniques for cancer staging, palliation and interventional endoscopy, is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine and fellowship-trained in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy such as ERCP and Endoscopic Ultrasound.

“Dr. Surapaneni is an excellent addition to our group, complimenting our areas of focus and expanding upon the advanced endoscopic diagnostic and therapeutic services we offer,” said Dr. Ravi Mani , F.A.C.G., who specializes in gastroenterology and Liver diseases at Bay Area Gastroenterology.

“As the third most common killer in the United States, it is our goal to both reduce the number of colorectal cancer cases diagnosed each year, as well as identify in the earliest, most treatable stages of the disease, by assembling a highly qualified group of gastroenterology and endoscopy specialists,” added Mani.

Joining the elite group of Gastroenterology, and Endoscopy specialists early July, Dr. Surapaneni now serves patients at the three Bay Area Gastroenterology locations in the Houston-Clear Lake area - Medical Center Blvd. and Blossom St. (Webster) and Astoria Blvd. (Houston).

Dr. Surapaneni holds a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Massachusetts and a Medical Degree from the Armed Forces Medical School.  He completed his residency in internal medicine  as well as a fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin.  He completed his second fellowship in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio.
